Role Description

As a Founding Engineer at Cadre, you will play a key role in developing and scaling our platform. This is a full-time on-site role in San Francisco, CA. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with the product team to ideate, build and scale new platform features, creating and implementing technical solutions, and building out the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Develop and maintain highly scalable and performant web applications with Next.js, Node.js, and React

• Understanding of LLMs and utilizing OpenAI APIs or other AI models

• Develop front-end interfaces with frameworks like React

• Work on mobile app development using React Native (iOS/Android development a plus)

• Comfortable with relational databases like PostgreSQL

• Implement RESTful APIs for internal and external services

• Understanding of Tailwind for frontend styling

• Collaborate with the head of product to define feature specifications

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and individuals including UX/UI designers, product managers, and other engineers

• Experience with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines is a plus

• Experience with cloud infrastructure and experience with AWS/DigitalOcean is a plus

• Ensure code quality through code reviews and implementing best practices

• Engage in agile processes including sprint planning and daily stand-ups

• Experience building and scaling web or mobile applications at a startup or established company

• Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to articulate technical ideas to non-technical audiences

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, or a related field
